Aurora Josephson is a singer and printmaker who currently resides in Oakland, California. As a singer, her work has been primarily in the field of free-improvisation. Though operatically trained, Ms. Josephson uses her voice as an instrument, exploring a variety of extended techniques and the full range of sonic possibilities of the voice.

Aurora Josephson received a BA in Music Performance from Mills College and has worked in a range of genres including performances/recordings with improvising musicians Martin Blume, Alvin Curran, Gianni Gebbia, Henry Kaiser, Joelle Leandre, Phillip Wachsmann and William Winant, art rock groups The Molecules and the Flying Luttenbachers and the electro group The Paradise Boys.
